Alice East has been dressing homes for sale unofficially for the last 10 years. She started her home staging company in Courtenay, "Dress This House", at the urging of her husband who encouraged her to follow her passion for home staging and interior design.
Alice's home was the perfect training ground for her profession. She experienced multiple moves during her childhood and was blessed with a Mom who was adept at preparing her home for the constant stream of guests often arriving with little warning.
She credits her father for introducing her to a lifetime of woodworking, tinkering and the art of fixing things. She has been painting walls since purchasing her first home in 1987.
Sewing has been a part of Alice's life for 40 years. She learned to sew curtains while doing contract work for an interior decorating store. All these skills are indispensable for a home staging professional with a "hands on" approach like Alice.
Alice ran a very successful family daycare from her home and has Level 1 ECE certification. She enjoys planning play spaces for children and has a thorough understanding of the challenges of moving with young children.
